1) Narmada Dam 💦🌊
The Sardar Sarovar project was a vision of the first deputy prime minister of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The foundation stone of the project was laid out by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on April 5, 1961. On the occasion of his 67th birthday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the Sardar Sarovar Dam on the Narmada river. The project which has been the subject of much controversy for decades now is reported to be one of the largest dams in the world. Having a length of 1.2 km and a depth of 163 meters, the dam is expected to be shared among the three states of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Gujarat.

2) Sea-plane 🛩️🚤
The Gujarat state government has announced the seaplane service to provide air connectivity from Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad to the Statue of Unity in Kevadia. Initially, daily two flights will be flying between Ahmedabad and the Statue of Unity.

3) Single and Couple Cycling🚴♀️🚴
This area is open only for a limited number of people and you need permission to have access to this area. If you have come to visit SOU then I believe you should explore all its destinations, each of which is quite famous in itself.
The charges for Khalvani cycling are Rs 200 and Rs 350 in which there are Btwin cycles for solo riders and Tandem cycles or couple cycles. The cycling route is of 14 km which starts from Valley of flowers and then ride through dam, tent city area and Godbole door all of which makes this tour so peaceful that we can actually feel its beauty. This tour is the best and you can experience it with your partner, friends as well as family.
Now that you are cycling and health is also very important, it is not possible that you don’t eat anything, therefore, SOU also offers you snacks and refreshment to keep you energized while you are cycling
4) Eco-tourism 🆗💹
The place provides ample opportunities for eco-tourism owing to its immense aesthetic beauty. To the mind and body of a weary tourist, the sparkling water of the fall in the middle of a lush green forest is a transformational experience of the medieval ages. The water is actually so clean that one can see through and spot small fish at the bottom. Local guides are available at the site.

5) River rafting 🚣♀️🚣♂️
River rafting is undoubtedly one of the most enthralling and physically demanding adventure sports in the world. Narmada, the largest west flowing river in the country, and the lifeline of millions has now ushered in the thrilling experience for the adventure enthusiasts who can now enjoy river rafting in 4.5 km. stretch with whirlpools, rapids and many turns which provide an exciting and unforgettable rafting experience for the first time in Gujarat.
Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Vijay Rupani, launched the state’s first ever river rafting on August 17, 2019 at Khalwani situated in Ekta Nagar near Statue of Unity and Sardar Sarovar Dam on river Narmada.
The adrenaline rush and the excitement experienced while riding and tumbling down the waters of fast flowing Narmada river across boulder strewn bed is simply unmatched by any other sport. So be embraced by the thrills of rafting, as there are as many as 6 rapids through the channel of Narmada. This river rafting activity has become possible at Khalwani in Ekta Nagar, due to regular release of 600 cusec flow of water from the Sardar Sarovar Dam.
The deciduous site surrounded by hillocks and the Narmada flowing by, is unhindered by any human interventions. This is an ideal camping and hiking site. The nearby Shoolpaneshwar Sanctuary is a treasure trove for wildlife enthusiasts and the growing popularity of the Statue of Unity immensely adds to the tourism potential.

6) Ekta Mall ⛪🏫
The very name Ekta Mall, symbolises unity in diversity, a hallmark of Indian culture. Here at Ekta Mall, handlooms, handicrafts and traditional textile showrooms as been opened from various states of India have come together to promote Indian Handicratfs, at a location that stands for unity and national integration. The Mall is spread over 35,000 square feet area.
It is a one-stop-shop for a relaxing shopping experience rooted in the vitality and diversity of India’s traditional textiles and artisanal handicrafts. Built in a 2-storey building, 20 emporias have been commissioned and each emporium represents a specific state of India. 7) Valley of Flowers 🌹🌵🌲
The Valley of Flowers (also known as Bharat Van), is spread across 24 acres of land and is a haven for colourful flowering plants along the bank of river Narmada. The Valley of Flower began with 48,000 plants in 2016 and has now reached up to 22,00,000 plants. Besides the parks, several photo booths and selfie points have been developed to take back fond memories of the visit. The spot resembles a rainbow of flowers setup on earth.
More than 300 types of flowers are grown in this garden. A right blend of ornamental flowers, trees, shrubs, herbs, climbers and creepers are planted along with various shades of foliage, which forms the green cover in this area. The amalgamation of these species makes this small area enchanting, flamboyant and intriguing. The picturesque site and an enthralling view of the Statue of Unity certainly captivate the visitors always. This vibrant landscape is also a site for a charismatic flower show every winters.
8) Jungle safari 🐅🦓🐘
All-new Jungle safari and the world-class zoo are just a few days away from the Statue of unity. Soon the top attraction for wildlife lovers and animal lovers will be open. Some of the prominent features of this zoo and jungle safari park are as follows:
- It developed across the 1300 acres area in seven levels
- It includes animals like lions, rhinos, tigers, giraffes, bison, leopards, 12 types of deer and antelopes, zebras, and other exotic animals
- This park is developed to attract big crowed all over India and the world. It is one of the wishes of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi to develop this land as a major tourism hub.
- The Central Zoo Authority also permits the development of this zoo.
9) Butterfly Garden 🦋🐝
The Butterfly Garden along the banks of Narmada river, makes it an attractive spot to appreciate the assortment of these flying jewels. The garden harbours more than 70 species of butterflies. The garden is covering 10 acres of area with 150 species of nectar plants and larval host plants. Special care has been taken in the landscaping of the park to support the diversity of butterfly species.
The Butterfly Garden has been developed in a way to create an environment that attracts butterflies and gives them a habitat to proliferate. Since butterflies feed on the nectar of flowers, there are hundreds of flowering plants that will provide them with food.
There are also suitable places for them to lay eggs and host plants for caterpillars to thrive. Walk through this beautifully designed park to get close view of stunning butterflies.

11) Children’s Park 👧💑⛹️♂️
Children Nutrition Park is a Unique Theme Park envisioned and inspired by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, which has been developed, as a part of Ekta Nagar Integrated Development. This nursery serves dual purposes of serving as an educational cum demonstration centre for tourists and providing employment to local people. Ekta Nursery yields one million plants, signifying the underlying theme of Unity pervading across Ekta Nagar.
13) Zarwani Waterfall 💦💧🌊
This campsite is situated in the Narmada District. It is 28 kms from Rajpipla towards Kevadia Colony at the Narmada Dam site. It is 7 kms from the Thawadia checkpost. It is situated inside the Shoolpaneshwar Wildlife Sanctuary which is home to a gamut of flora & fauna. The wildlife attraction includes, wild sloth bears, hyena, various species of deers and wild dogs. One can also see the rhesus monkey and the barking deer or muntjac which are rarely found in other parts of the country.
One can arrange for day picnics or treks with the help of the forest department, with the forest, waterfalls and other natural beauty within easy reach. Other sightseeing areas nearby include the Zarwani waterfalls, the Shoolpaneshwar Temple, the Gheer Khadi.

Gujarat State Forest Development Corporation Ltd. (GSFDC) has initiated a Boat ride in Dyke-3 known as Panchmuli Lake in Ekta Nagar as a part of eco-tourism activity. The boating facility has been developed with the help of an external professional entity. Tourists coming to Ekta Nagar are also enjoying the pristine nature with this boat ride. The total duration of each ride is for 45 minutes and in a day eight rides are operationalized by the operator. This ride takes you to the waters of dyke-4 as well as the entire waterbody is surrounded by lush green forests. The ecosystem around the lake is very rich in flora and fauna. This Boating facility has become a popular spot for tourists. Panchmuli lake is definitely a worthwhile visit with your family or friends. What sets this apart is its location -set in the middle of a forest grove. So have fun and enjoy your time on the water at beautiful Panchmuli Lake.
16) Ekta Cruise 🛶🚢
Now enjoy the thrilling experience of viewing the world’s tallest statue, the “Statue of Unity” during the Ferry Ride in the pristine Narmada Waters.
UNITY 1- This boat, 26 meters long and 9 meters wide is a Catamaran Type Vessel made of mild steel. The vessel is made of two decks and currently carries 200 passengers on the lower deck with fixed seats.
UNITY 2 is a monohull boat that can operate at a very high speed. The boat can accommodate up to 25 passengers. Some passengers can also enjoy the ride sitting on the main deck and others can sit on the flybridge.
This cruise also provides a gripping experience of the “On Board dinner“ during the cruise sailing while the forest night sets in Ekta Nagar and attractive lighting takes over the hearts of the thousands of tourists. The dinner is a lifetime experience as very delicious cuisines are available adding value to the naturally rich surroundings. A Souvenir shop and a food stall are available for the guests to shop on the lower deck. The upper deck has the wheelhouse for control and navigation of the vessel. There is an additional space on the upper deck for the passengers for an unobstructed and mesmerizing view of the statue and to experience the most hypnotic scenery along the Narmada River.
The 7 km-long navigation channel in the river especially is constructed for extending a unique experience to the tourists visiting the Statue of Unity. The distance between Shreshtha Bharat Bhavan and the Statue is about 7 km which will be covered in 40 minutes by UNITY 1 and in 25 minutes by UNITY 2. The guests onboard can enjoy the magnificent view of the World’s tallest statue from the river Narmada along with some chilling background music played on the deck and also with experience of river sailing sounds.
17) Leisure show 🗿⛲
The laser show at the Statue of Unity illuminates the structure of 182- meter height. The laser show was conducted in the evening time. The laser show will show the journey of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel and its role to create India as a nation from various subcontinents. statue-of-unity-full-information-online-booking The show uses statues as a canvas with a beautiful mixture of laser lights, sound, graphics, and storytelling. The 30-minute show leaves the viewers spellbound. There are a total of 51 high-resolution projectors used in the show. All of them are fixed at a distance of 600 meters. The show started at 6.45 pm and ended at 7.15 pm.
Us-based global visual technology collaborated with Christie Crimson, Germany’s laser show producer firm, and did the projection technicality. The whole team was responsible for the installation and integration of the show. Another fact is, it uses a high brightness projector. It was installed the first time in India. The lenses and lasers can withstand all weather conditions.
